We are live from the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex in Orlando, Fla. The Sounders FC and FC Dallas are warming up with kickoff 30 minutes away.
We've got a handful of Sounders FC fans out here today, including one in a Steve Zakuani jersey and an Akron hat.
I believe we are playing 2 45-minute halves today ... if it is something else, I'll let you know as soon as I do.
I already have seen former UW Husky George John and former USL Sounder Maykel Galindo in uniform for FC Dallas - good to see both of those guys.
At this point, I couldn't tell you.
FC Dallas starters: Kevin Hartman, Jair Benitez, Alexis Pradie, Jackson, Zach Loyd, Daniel Hernandez, Brek Shea, Eric Alexander, David Ferreira, Marvin Chavez, Ruben Luna.
Sounders FC starters: Terry Boss, Richard Martinez, Zach Scott, Tyson Wahl, Danny Earls, Lamar Neagle, Servando Carrasco, Brad Evans, David Estrada, Blaise Nkufo, Mike Fucito.
3:30 local, 12:30 pacific ... I don't see anyone filming, so assume there won't be any streaming
Other than our own crew, at least
Not really an injury, their just holding him out a few days. He and Pat Ianni did some running before the team started warm-up.
It'll be good ... the pairings so far have looked pretty good up top.
So far, so good ... but today will be the better barometer, I think. Although I know we are still 3 weeks from a real game ... not worried if he's not in mid-season form today.
I'm guessing he'll play in the second half today ... he has looked good for sure. I can't say I'm really excited for individuals ... I'm more excited about having a game. So much better for me than training sessions.
I think you'll see a lot more of the "starters" tomorrow. Sigi is pushing the guys to longer minutes - 60-70 for some today - and they have enough bodies that it shouldn't be an issue playing back-to-back.
If nothing else, we can just throw Henderson out there, too ...
I hope it never comes to that ...
They do have 4 pretty solid options there and our assistant equipment manager, Brett Johnson was a college keeper as well ... Also Dave Tenney and Tom Dutra both were pro keepers ... I'm pretty far down that list.
Yes, I think he will play. No, we don't have video of his goal.
He's listed as the left wing, but we'll have a clearer picture once the match starts in 10 minutes.
This is the fifth match for the Sounders - they are 2-1-1 so far. It is pre-season though, so results aren't necessarily as important.
definitely some tough decisions and I'm glad I don't have to make them.
I've continued to take the stance that I'll just enjoy the games rather than worried about who might be cut.
